Alternative Institute was officially funded in April 2000, after 2 years of unofficial work on organization of cultural and artistic happenings as well as the revival of the environment they live in (mouth to mouth).

The members of the A.I. are not divided into groups and projects. They all have a total artistic/creative freedom, as well as the help of the other members in their attempts to realize any of their ideas or projects.

A publishing house "Kolaps production" was established and Kolaps book production, Kolaps music production and Kolaps film production operate under her wing.

Besides the official issues and organizational work, the members of the Alternative Institute spend most of their time and energy on independent artistic creations (poetry, music, film, graphics), as well as on spreading the positive energy and thoughts wherever they come. They presented their work at many Festivals and happenings all over Balkan region and they were hosts to the artists who came to festivals that took place in Mostar.
